Last week was a little different around here – for two reasons. Firstly I took time off from working to have a holiday and secondly I got married. After 13 years together, I’m now officially Mrs Cheyne.
The wedding was a big secret that no one knew anything about it until afterwards. We never ever wanted a big wedding as that just wasn’t us, so choosing to elope was the best decision we made.
The amazing thing about living in Scotland is that you can literally get married anywhere you like. And there are no shortage of beautiful locations in Scotland. After months of consideration, we opted for one of our favourite walking spots – Carron Valley Reservoir.
Our plan with the help of our humanist celebrant, Sheila and our photographers, The Curries was to have a relaxing walk with the dogs with the getting married part in the middle. That’s exactly what we got. There was no fuss, no stress and best of all it was just about us enjoying the day.
The great thing about having a photographer husband is that he can take some photos for us to share, while we wait on the photographers sending the official ones through. Here are a few Ewan took…
And… we love our sneak peek photo from The Curries – can’t wait to see the rest.
